Institute
Symbiosis is
carrying out and offering the following services in the field of nature
conservation:
- Carrying
out field surveys and preparing biological parts of reports in
the framework of environmental
impact assessments in Slovenia,
and strategic environmental impact assessments.
- Coordinating
and carrying out field surveys and preparing reports
in the framework of acceptability assessments in protected areas
(including Natura 2000 areas).
- Carrying
out surveys and population monitoring of various animal groups. We are
specialized in surveying birds, reptiles, amphibians, freshwater fish,
crayfish and freshwater mussels.
- Monitoring
of the
status of animal populations
during construction and after the construction of various objects (e.g.
highways, industry zones) for the above mentioned animal groups.
- Preparing,
designing and publishing of field guides and other
education material.
- Designing
and implementing educational and awareness raising projects in the
field of
nature conservation.
- Offering a
broad choice of nature photographs.
- Preparing
scientific illustrations of animals and plants for various publications
(e.g. books, brochures, education plates, study material).
- Organizing
and leading single- or several day educational excursions.
